The Kahles line of premium optics offers many choices for the avid hunter or bird watcher. Recently, I field tested the Kahles 10x42 binoculars, during a bear hunt in the mountains of British Columbia. I used the Kahles binoculars for several days, than switched with my hunting partner for his pair of name-brand, high-end optics. After two days of using his binoculars, I wanted my Kahles back and needless to say, he did not want his brand back. We could clearly see the difference in the brands.
I found the Kahles to be lightweight, quick to focus, and brilliantly clear. The Kahles binoculars consistently and easily outperformed the other brand in low or poor lighting situations. The Kahles offered crystal clear vision every time, making our task of spotting bears on a mountainside miles away and focusing on bears that were within yards of us just as easy.
During our week of hunting, the guide and the cameraman also had the opportunity to use these Kahles binoculars; they too saw the crystal clear difference of the Kahles binoculars and commented on how lightweight, clear, and brilliant the lens were. They also commented on how the lens attracted more light in low lighting situations. There were several times when we all were watching a bear in poor lighting, and the guide would ask to use the Kahles instead of his binoculars.
Kahles optics features Austrian crystal lens. Kahles binoculars are waterproof and held up on the toughest day of wet, foggy weather. They did not become cloudy or fog up like the other brand in these wet conditions. Kahles offers the highest quality of binoculars available for those serious about their hunting. The difference is clear… crystal clear.
