It updates daily and there is no need to reset for the changes in the seasons. Feeding times change as the days grow shorter to always feed at prime activity times – sunrise and one hour before sunset.
The Straight Shooter is also unique in that feed is shot straight out in a narrow path, five feet wide and up to thirty feet long. This is especially helpful in thick woods and in the laurel thickets we hunt at home in North Carolina. The feeder can be placed at the edges of brush or thickets for concealment, still spreading the feed to get the maximum benefit. It is also helpful for bowhunting because you can position your stand in direct relation to the feed.
This feeder runs off two two-12 volt batteries and has a special vibrating arm to maintain free flow feeding. The Straight Shooter has a 100 lbs capacity and can be set to your desired run time with a test button and delay.
