Renegade Tominator II

With so many good bows out there, it’s become a difficult task to find that one bow that has it all… overall lightweight, smooth draw, quiet shooting and good looks. I found it all in Renegade’s Tominator II.

I was quite surprised to find a bow that’s not (yet) known as one of the “big” bow companies, come out with such a sweet bow. While at the archery range, I was shooting several brands and models of bows, and was most impressed with the Tominator. Even the archer shooting next to me marveled at how quiet the Tominator was and how “dead-on” the arrows were hitting.

When entering the archery range, I debated what bow to use for an upcoming turkey hunt, but on leaving the range, I knew the Tominator would be my bow of choice! A month later, out in the turkey woods, I did bag a nice tom with this bow and the aptly named ”Tominator” rang true!

Renegade Archery Company (RAC) debuted their bows at the Nat’l Archery Show in 1999 and did so well, they’ve had to move their company plant two times and even had to add on to their present building in Bloomer, Wisconsin. These guys are dedicated on bringing us the most shootable bows on the market. They have bows from a short 31” to the longer 41” axle-to-axle length. Perfect for the woods or the range.

  • The Tominator II has a 34” axle-to-axle length with the Rac1 Cam and weighs a total of 3.2 lbs.
  • Brace height is a forgiving 71/8”
  • Realtree Hardwoods is the camo finish
  • Draw weights come in a female-friendly 40/50#, 50/60# and up to 80# for those who can handle more.
  • Draw length is from 24-31” Great for a growing youth as well as women.
  • Let-Off is 65 or 80%

The Flame Thrower cam and wheel makes for one HOT looking bow. “Kewl!!” Were the words from my kid’s mouths... and mine too!

If you’ve been thinking about purchasing a new bow and can’t afford the prices of many “big” bow companies bows, I strongly urge you to check out a Renegade bow. Not only are they great shooting bows, they are some of the most affordable bows on the market!
