Deer Hunting, Turkey Hunting, Small Game Hunting...

Hello, my name is Brianne Wood. I am on the Field Staff Team at WomenHunters™. I live in Alabama. I enjoy hunting, fishing, camping, knee boarding and anything and everything that involves the outdoors. Every weekend you will find me doing something outdoor-related whether it is hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling or camping.

I mostly hunt for Whitetail Deer, Turkey and Wild Hogs but I am looking to broaden my game in the next few years. My dream is to travel the world and hunt for bear, Blacktail deer, elk, African game and more.

I received a Browning Adrenalin bow for my birthday in 2003. I continued to use this bow until the 2006 season ended. For my birthday in 2006, I received a Bowtech Equalizer, which is what I hunt with now. I am mostly a bow hunting girl but I do like to go gun hunting as well. I have a Mossburg 12- gauge and I have a Browning 20-gauge, I use both for Turkey Hunting.

I love scouting for turkeys. In the Spring time, you will find me in the woods EVERY weekend hunting and scouting. I have yet to take a gobbler but I have come very close. Despite not bagging a gobbler, I have many memories that I made while trying. :)

I love camping and my fishing (both go together so well!). In the late Spring and Summer you will find me out on the Warrior River fishing for catfish and camping. I also love to fly fish. I am lucky enough to live fairly close to the Sipsey Fork where they stock Rainbow Trout. The Sipsey is the ONLY place in Alabama where you can find Rainbow Trout. In 2004, I traveled to Tennessee for a guided flyfishing trip. There, I hooked a wild brown trout of a life time! Sadly, I was not able to land this fish but I was told if I did I would have been on the cover of several flyfishing magazines. I also love off-shore fishing and cannot wait to get back to the Gulf Coast to do some!
