My name is Amanda and I am 27 years old. I am from a small town in southeast Texas in the middle of the piney woods. I am married to a wonderful man named Troy who I have been with for almost 9 years. I have a 10 year old stepson Buddy and Trace is our 8 year old son together. Our life is centered around the outdoors. We enjoy deer hunting although it is considered more of our “off” season until we can hog hunt again. We raise and train our own hog hunting dogs. Yellow black mouth Curs are our dog of choice for the nose and bay dogs and Boodrow the pit bull is our catch dog. The catch dog is very important to our hunt because all our pigs are caught live and tied.

In the summer when it is too hot to hog hunt, we are on the Trinity River hunting some of the biggest Alligator Gar in the country. I enjoy bow fishing at night; however, I need the thrill and suspense of the daytime hunt when the challenge is immense but the rewards are grand. Hot summer nights are spent on Lake Conroe catching blue and channel catfish on noodles by the cooler full.

I have 3 beautiful horses that I love to ride and spend time with, although I have not had a lot of spare time lately.

I earn my hunting and fishing money working for O’Reilly Auto Parts as the ASE certified Assistant Manager at a very successful store. I have been in the automotive parts industry for almost 6 years now and I love it. Meeting new people everyday is the highlight of my job.

We are raising our children in the woods and on the water teaching them about good sportsmanship and safety. My kids are taught old fashioned good manners and resemble children from the past and not our electronic age.
